We live in mythical South County, Rhode Island. I say mythical because there is no official "South County". Our town is in "Washington County". But, "South County" is the local colloquial and historical reference.



And it is good that South County is "mythical" because so is its presence. Myth made manifest. Within minutes, seconds in some cases, we transport from one scene to another. In this case, the peaceful pastoral. In a few minutes of walking, we would be at the scenic marina on the shore.
