Deadly Tractor-Trailer Accident in Schuylkill County

One person tragically died after driving into the back of a tractor-trailer in the early morning hours of October 19 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County. According to news reports, emergency personnel received a call around 12:30 a.m. for a car that hit a tractor-trailer that was parked along the side of Route 309.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger in the vehicle was flown to Lehigh Valley Allentown. According to police officials, the car driver may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.
