The cultural heart of Tennessee, Nashville–also known as Music City USA–is one of the South’s most thriving cultural hubs, filled with music, good food, and culture. A lot of the city’s musical and cultural influences come from its African-American heritage, especially beginning in the 19th century with Nashville’s Fisk Jubilee Singers and the advent of the famous Ryman Auditorium, as well as the home of country music in the Grand Ole Opry.
